22 Killed 70 Injured in Car Bomb Attack in Baghdad

Baghdad – Two separate blasts have ripped through Baghdad on Thursday, killing at least 22 and injuring over 70 people, according to local police.A car packed with explosives blew up in a commercial street of Baghdad al-Jadeeda, an eastern district of Baghdad, killing at least 15 people and wounding over 50, a police officer said.The second blast hit near a military checkpoint in the capital’s north. These attacks come as Iraqi forces struggle to force out Islamic State militants from Falluja, west of Baghdad.Up to 90,000 civilians are believed to still be inside Fallujah, according to the UN, which had earlier estimated the number to be 50,000.With MAP
